The appearance is usually a combination of factors rather than a single cause — which is why a personalised assessment matters more than a general recommendation.

You leave with the information you need to consider your next step in your own time. There is no expectation of same-day treatment.

- your current skincare routine, prescription products and known allergies, if relevant
- photographs if you would like to show how your skin has changed over time
- any questions you would like the doctor to answer
What may be discussed?
Depending on the outcome of the assessment, the doctor may discuss:
- no treatment, where that is the most appropriate outcome
- skincare or active-acne management, where ongoing acne is a factor
- resurfacing approaches, considered in general terms
- collagen-stimulating approaches, considered in general terms
- procedural scar treatment, discussed privately during consultation
- referral or further assessment, if that would be more suitable
Not every option will be suitable for every patient, and no treatment is required following consultation.
